John Amerman and Ian Highet have been elected to the board of stewards of The Jockey Club. They will take the places of John Barr and Dell Hancock at the expiration of their four-year terms.

. . . The Jockey Club is projecting a North American Thoroughbred foal crop of 37,500 in 2008, roughly equal to what was expected for the 2007 foal crop at this time a year ago. The projection is calculated by using reports of mares bred forms submitted by Aug. 1.
