Friel's for Real, a 7-year-old daughter of Sword Dance and Beaties for Real, died July 18 at Overbrook Farm in Lexington, Ky., with the exact cause of death unclear but apparently occurring during severe thunderstorms. The mare, a six-time stakes winner with $674,544 in earnings, was carrying her first foal, by Street Cry, when she died. . . .
