A Quiet American filly sold by U.S.-based consignor Kip Elser - who purchased her for $140,000 at the 2006 Keeneland September yearling auction - set a European juvenile filly record Wednesday when she brought 370,000 guineas, or about $777,000, at the Tattersalls Craven 2-year-old sale in Newmarket, England. The Tattersalls Wednesday session sold 69 juveniles for a total of about $10,789,800, resulting in an average price of approximately $156,374 and a median of about $109,200. . . . Judge Karl Forester of the U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Kentucky has denied French bloodstock agent Frederic Sauque's request for dismissal from a lawsuit that Stonestreet Stables owner Jess Jackson filed over the $17.5 million purchase of the former Buckram Oak Farm in Lexington, Ky. Jackson has named Sauque among agents he alleges tried to defraud him of at least $1.5 million in the transaction. . . . The Keeneland Association has elected James G.
