Real Quiet, winner of the 1998 Kentucky Derby and Preakness and that year's champion 3-year-old male, returned home to Pin Oak Lane Farm in New Freedom, Pa., on Thursday. A 12-year-old Quiet American horse, he had been hospitalized at the University of Pennsylvania's New Bolton Center since Feb. 19 with abscesses in both hind feet. . . . . Television Games Network and HorseRacing TV will preview Keeneland's April 17 select 2-year-old sale in a series of broadcasts starting March 27. The 90-minute show will air on TVG on March 27, 28, and 31, and on HRTV on March 27 and 28. . . . Wallenda, a Grade 1-winning millionaire, has been purchased by the Old Friends retirement organization in Georgetown, Ky., and is expected to arrive there from Japan by the end of April, with his flight home financed largely by his former owner, Dogwood Stable, and public donations. A 17-year-old Gulch horse, Wallenda had stood at stud in Japan since 2000 but is now retired from breeding. . . . Adena Springs Farm in Kentucky has named Mike Recio to its staff as sales administrator. Recio, previously an account manager at Taylor Made Sales, will handle stallion nominations and marketing at Adena Springs.
