The board of directors of the National Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association on Monday rescinded a resolution that prohibited a former president of the association, Rick Hiles, from serving in any official capacity with the organization. Hiles, who was elected president of the Kentucky chapter of the horsemen's group late last year - four years after the national group issued the ban in connection with a conflict-of-interest investigation - will now be able to serve on various committees of the association, according to Remi Bellocq, the executive director of the national horsemen's association.
