The Jockey Club has issued a reminder to owners and breeders that Feb. 1, 2007, is the deadline for name applications for foals of 2005. Owners and breeders wishing to name foals from that year must make a valid attempt to submit names for those foals by Feb. 1 or else pay a $75 late fee. . . . The 3-year-old sprinter Fabulous Strike was awarded a 119 Beyer Speed Figure for his 11-length victory in Tuesday night's $75,000 Christmas Stakes at Mountaineer Race Track. The figure matches that of Bordonaro on Oct. 7 as the highest of the season by any horse. . . . Maryland-based jockey Steve Hamilton will be sidelined four to six weeks after cracking his seventh cervical vertebra and breaking ribs on both sides of his body in an automobile accident last week.
