Jockey Yutaka Take picked up a six-day suspension for causing rider Willie Lai to fall from his mount after the finish of a race at Happy Valley Racecourse in Hong Kong last Wednesday night. The ban will not affect Take's anticipated ride aboard Deep Impact in the Arima Kinen on Christmas Eve because the stewards allowed the suspension to take effect "after Dec. 25." . . . A record price of $965,250 was recorded at the Hong Kong International Sale at Sha Tin on Saturday night when Cheng Keung Fai bid that amount for a 2-year-old Danehill half-brother to Dehere. The sale posted an increase of 63 percent over last year.
