The trainer Richard Mandella, a member of Racing's Hall of Fame, has accepted a directorship on the board of Oak Tree Racing Association. Mandella becomes the first trainer to be selected to serve since the formation of Oak Tree in 1968. . . . An arbitrator has released a ruling in a complex dispute between Television Games Network and Youbet.com that requires Youbet to pay TVG approximately $1 million in unpaid fees and $250,000 in interest. TVG was seeking $5.8 million from Youbet in unpaid fees, but the arbitrator upheld Youbet's contention that it did not owe as much as TVG claimed based on the definition of exclusive tracks and non-exclusive tracks in a contract that allows Youbet customers to bet on TVG tracks. . . . The Jockeys' Guild has filed a lawsuit in California Superior Court for the County of Los Angeles that alleges the organization's former chief counsel, Lloyd Ownbey, was "negligent in his responsibilities to protect the financial interests of the Guild." Ownbey was removed as the Guild's legal counsel late in 2005 as part of a complete management overhaul at the organization. . . . Stonewall Stallions near Midway, Ky., has announced that two of its stallions, Unforgettable Max and Frisco Star, will stand the 2007 season at Sequel Stallions near Ocala, Fla. Six-year-old Unforgettable Max (Northern Afleet-Maggy Hawk, by Hawkster), a full brother to Afleet Alex, will stand for $7,500, and 3-year-old Frisco Star (More Than Ready-No Mud on Me, by Great Above) enters stud this year with a $5,000 fee.
