Espinoza, Prado to represent U.S. in Japan

Victor Espinoza and Edgar Prado have been selected by the Japan Racing Association to represent the United States in the World Super Jockeys Championships at Hanshin Racecourse on December 1 and 2.

The two American riders will compete as individuals in two races on each of the two days against seven other foreign riders and six Japanese riders. The other foreigners are defending champion Olivier Peslier from France, Kieren Fallon from Britain, Michael Kinane form Ireland, Brett Prebble from Australia, New Zealand's Michael Walker and Hong Kong-based Doug Whyte.

The selected Japanese jockeys are Masayoshi Ebina, Shingi Fujita, Mikio Matsunaga, Yoshitoma Shibata, Katsuya Samegima and Hirofumi Shii.
