Chipofftheoldblock gave jockey Richard Eramia a sweep of the two stakes races held at Will Rogers Downs this week when he rallied for a 1 1/2-length win over Ernie Banker in the $50,000 Highland Ice on Tuesday. It was another 1 1/4 lengths back in third to Dame Plata. Eramia on Monday won the $50,000 Wilma Mankiller aboard Distorted Flash. The Highland Ice was the rider’s third Tuesday win.  Chipofftheoldblock ($5.40) settled in third in the Highland Ice, as Ernie Baker and Dame Plata dueled through an opening quarter in 23.17 seconds and a half-mile in 46.10. The winner moved to the lead in the stretch and went on to cover six furlongs on a fast track in 1:10.15. Mike Lauer co-bred and trains Chipofftheoldbock. It was brought back Tuesday after being canceled last week because an area of the racing surface was contaminated due to a tractor fire, according to Will Rogers. Chipofftheoldblock is an Indiana-bred son of Ready’s Image. He has now won 11 of 39 starts for earnings of $542,480.
