Epsom rematch looms at Curragh

Godolphin has supplemented its Epsom Derby runner-up, Rule of Law, to the Irish Derby, meaning that the first three finishers from the Epsom classic could clash again at The Curragh on Sunday.

Scratched from last Friday's King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot because of a minor infection, Rule of Law had been expected to miss the Irish Derby. But Sheikh Mohammed, Godolphin's leader, supplemented him for $115,000 to the 1 1/2-mile classic. A Kingmambo colt, Rule of Law is now expected to line up against Epsom Derby winner North Light as well as third-place Let the Lion Roar.
