Trainer Jeremiah Englehart isn’t holding back in the $50,000 Shesastonecoldfox Stakes on Monday at Finger Lakes and has entered five of the 14 2-year-old fillies in the field.

Trainer Carlos Martin also is well represented in the six-furlong race for statebreds with two horses from his Belmont Park stable.

The Shesacoldstonefox is the final stakes of the Finger Lakes season, which continues through Nov. 28.

Sorting out Englehart’s contingent is key to finding the Shesacoldstonefox winner. That jockey Joshua Navarro, who is third in the Finger Lakes standings, has ridden four of Englehart’s entrants and ends up on Wegetsdamunnys is notable.

Also worthy of attention is the fact John Davila Jr., by far the leading rider at the upstate New York track, stays with Indy’s Lady, whom he has ridden in both of her starts for Englehart.

Wegetsdamunnys, whom Englehart owns with his brother Jesse, has started only once. She stalked front-running April Fog in that race, then drew off late to win by 1 3/4 lengths and earn a 60 Beyer Speed Figure.

It was 10 1/2 lengths back from April Fog to the third-place finisher. The race was the second for April Fog, who has been second-best in both of her starts.

Indy’s Lady won her career debut by eight lengths in the $116,550 Lady Finger Stakes on Sept. 9. Englehart brought her back against males in the $216,875 New York Breeders’ Futurity, but she was sluggish to find her best stride from post 1, rushed up into a three-horse speed duel, and then tired in the stretch to finish last of six.

The 58 Beyer that Indy’s Lady earned in her first start puts her in the thick of the fight in this race.

Englehart’s other three entrants are Dreams Are Pazible, an 8 3/4-length Finger Lakes maiden winner in her last start; Girl’s Dance Party, who won a Finger Lakes maiden race by 7 1/4 lengths, then was seventh in the Joseph Gimma at Belmont; and Thanxforlastnite, a 10 1/2-length winner over $15,000 maiden claimers in her most recent outing.

It should be noted that J.M. Rohena, who rode debut winner New Girl In Town, will be on Girl’s Dance Party. Oscar Gomez takes the mount on New Girl In Town.

Martin’s runners are Aunt Babe, a 7 3/4-length debut winner at Belmont, and Stone Cold Flirt, who won a $50,000 maiden-claiming race at Belmont by 3 1/2 lengths in her second career start.

Aunt Babe, who finished sixth in the Gimma second time out, will be ridden by Alexis Valdes. Jockey Luis Perez will ride Stone Cold Flirt. Perez was aboard Shesacoldstonefox entrant Kateri Empire in her debut victory for Charlton Baker.

Stone Cold Flirt’s 61 Beyer is the highest in the field by a point in what should be a hard-fought dash.
