Endless Chatter wins third straight in Summer Colony

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Endless Chatter continued her forward progression for trainer Chad Brown with a solid 1 3/4-length victory in Monday’s $100,000 Summer Colony Stakes at Saratoga.
Under Joel Rosario, Endless Chatter stalked from second before zipping past the pacesetting Natalie Victoria at the five-sixteenths pole and bounding clear for a relatively easy score over Ambusher. It was 4 3/4 lengths back to Zucchini Flower in third. She was followed by Made Up, South Andros, and Natalie Victoria.
The win was the third straight for Endless Chatter, a 4-year-old daughter of First Samurai who had won two allowance races at Parx. Overall, Endless Chatter is 4 for 9 in her career.
“She earned her way into a listed stakes like this off back-to-back allowance wins,” Brown said. “Her numbers were getting better. She’s a horse the last 90 days she’s really come around, really matured. She was always a nervous horse; she’s settled down a lot. She’s just come around at the right time.”
Brown’s biggest concern entering the race was that Natalie Victoria loomed the lone speed.
“We encouraged Joel don’t let her get too far away,” Brown said. “I think he won the race for us in the first turn when he got that second spot out in the clear and gave our filly every chance. From there, and at that point, it was up to her.”
Endless Chatter, owned by Alpha Delta Stables, covered the 1 1/8 miles in 1:51.40 and returned $5.30 as the favorite.
Brown said he would likely look to run Endless Chatter in a graded stakes around two turns for her next start.
