Enbarr has more to show us, Van Dyke says

CYPRESS, Calif. - There is more to Enbarr than what the promising colt displayed in his stakes debut in the $75,000 Capote Stakes for 2-year-olds at Los Alamitos on Saturday.
At least, that is the opinion of jockey Drayden Van Dyke, who rode Enbarr for the first time in the Capote at 6 1/2 furlongs.
Enbarr closed from third in a field of four to pass stablemate Montebello in early stretch before beating that rival by a length.
“I don’t think he gave me everything,” Van Dyke said.
“It’s his second start. He was idling on me. I know he had more.”
Trained by Bob Baffert for Baoma Corp., Enbarr was second by a half-length to stablemate Pinehurst in a maiden special weight at five furlongs at Del Mar on Aug. 1. The form of that race has turned out to be outstanding. Pinehurst won the Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity on Sept. 6.
The Capote was restricted to non-winners of a stakes worth $50,000 or more to the winner.
By Brody’s Cause, Enbarr was purchased for $200,000 as a yearling. In his brief career, Enbarr has earned $58,300.
