Embellishing Bob invades for Front Range

Embellishing Bob will take on Arapahoe Park stalwarts Wally Van, Lady Contender, and E F Five as well as the improving local Bourbon Sense in the $40,000 Front Range on Sunday.
Others set to start in the Front Range, a seven-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up, include Magical Twist, who moves back into open company after defeating statebreds in the $44,000 Aspen at Arapahoe, and Ima Happy Strike, a stakes winner coming off a dominant local allowance win June 7.

Embellishing Bob (Last 3 Beyers: 83-83-87)
◗ He shows a series of recent strong works at The Downs at Albuquerque, among them a bullet five furlongs in 59 seconds June 6.
◗ Embellishing Bob is returning to the stakes ranks after being claimed for $50,000 at Churchill Downs on April 29. He finished third in the seven-furlong race, and the fourth- and fifth-place finishers have returned to win in their next starts.
◗ Embellishing Bob was second in last year’s Grade 3 Iowa Derby and placed first in last season’s Grade 3 Derby Trial at Churchill following the disqualification of Bayern.
◗ Enrique Gomez has the mount on Embellishing Bob for owner-trainer Henry Dominguez.
Bourbon Sense (Last 3 Beyers: 84-76-65)
◗ He has come to hand at the Arapahoe meet, winning a conditioned allowance by six lengths May 24, then taking another allowance by a similar margin June 20.
◗ Michael Iammarino has the mount for Dale Arnold and trainer Ty Garrett.
