Eliad punches ticket to Long Island Handicap

ELMONT, N.Y. – Eliade won a second-level allowance at Keeneland on Thursday for trainer Chad Brown and could make her next start in the Grade 3, $100,000 Long Island Handicap at Aqueduct on Nov. 28.
It was Eliade’s first win since coming to the U.S. and Brown’s stable after traveling from France last year.

“The first of her two races at Saratoga looked promising and we ran her in the stake and she ran a bit unhappy on the inside,” said Brown, referring to a fifth-place finish in the Grade 2 Glens Falls at Saratoga. “It’s nice to see her get first stateside win. I can build off that, maybe look at the Long Island and then shut her down for next year.”
Eliade earned a 90 Beyer Speed Figure for her Keeneland win.
