Eleven juveniles tied for the fastest furlong time at the under-tack preview show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co.’s June 2-year-olds in training and horses of racing age sale. A six-session breeze show at the Ocala Training Center began last Tuesday, and concluded Sunday. The works showcase juveniles set to sell at the June 12-14 auction. Working a furlong in a bullet 9 4/5 seconds on the all-weather Safetrack were eight fillies and three colts, all by different sires. Stallions represented by fillies in the group, in alphabetical order, are newly minted Grade 1 sire Bucchero; Complexity, who leads this year’s freshman sire class early; Frosted; Triple Crown winner and standout young sire Justify; top-10 sire Munnings; The Big Beast; Vino Rosso, who was among last year's leading freshmen; and promising Florida freshman Win Win Win. Represented by colts were freshman Honest Mischief; solid young sire Practical Joke; and Tapiture. Two juveniles tied for the fastest quarter-mile time overall - a filly by classic performer and freshman sire Tiz the Law, and a filly by classic sire Twirling Candy. Both breezed in 20 2/5 seconds. The Twirling Candy filly, consigned by Tom McCrocklin, as agent, is a full sister to 2021 Preakness Stakes winner Rombauer. European Horse of the Year Roaring Lion and Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint winner California Flag are among the other graded stakes winners on the catalog page. For hip-by-hip results, click here.
