Eagles Flight was taken out of training in June. “He needed a little time off,” Sadler said. “It wasn’t anything major. Now he’s coming back very well. Obviously, the barn is excited about him. “We’re anxious to get him back to the races. It was a nice work today.” Eagles Flight is owned by Jane Lyon’s Summer Wind Equine, Hronis Racing, and W.S. Farish, and was bred by Lyon. Flightline was unbeaten in six starts in a brief career in 2021 and 2022, concluding with a win in the Breeders’ Cup Classic at Keeneland. Also on Thursday, Nooni, a candidate for the BC Juvenile Fillies at Del Mar on Nov. 1, worked five furlongs in a quick 59.60 seconds at Santa Anita. Trained by Bob Baffert for Zedan Racing, Nooni was second by 2 1/4 lengths to stablemate Non Compliant in the Grade 2 Oak Leaf Stakes at 1 1/16 miles at Santa Anita on Oct. 5. By Win Win Win, Nooni was purchased for $1.8 million at the Ocala Breeders’ Sale of 2-year-olds in-training in March, the most expensive hip of the auction. :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering?
