Dylan Davis, who has enjoyed a super winter riding at Gulfstream Park for the first time in over a decade, will return to New York in April to start riding at Aqueduct, agent Mike Migliore said. While Davis will be based at Aqueduct, he will ride when needed at Keeneland, including on April 4, opening day of that track’s meet, when he rides La Cara in the Grade 1 Ashland. Davis missed the first month of the Gulfstream meet to complete 2024 on the New York Racing Association circuit, where he was the leading rider in wins. Still, entering Friday’s action at Gulfstream, Davis was eighth in the standings in wins there with 29 from 207 mounts. “I couldn’t have expected for it to have gone any better for me,” Davis said. “I’m riding for good trainers, for good outfits. It’s a new step for me, but it’s going in the right direction.” :: Want to learn more about handicapping and wagering? Check out DRF's Handicapping 101 and Wagering 101 pages.
