Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
1:00 KEE 1st Very little early pace entered in this 1 1/8 mile dirt maiden claimer and coming off a one-turn race where he made the lead, UNWRAPPED (#5, 8-1) could be the one to go forward and dictate terms. Not a bad comeback run last time and now down to lowest level while not dropping precipitously. On pedigree this should be a good distance for him. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
2:04 KEE 3rd Unhelpful chart comments that don't tell the tale of IUKA MISS's (#9, 15-1) last start. She broke awkwardly and outward from the outside stall, the rider was stuck out about five paths wide into the first turn, and when he took hold of the filly to try and find some position, she got too keen. Made a little middle move down the backstretch, wide again on second turn, ran on through stretch better than you might think from the form line on paper and then galloped out with interest. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
2:36 KEE 4th DOUBLE CLUTCH (#7, 8-1) clearly is "good enough" for this spot and won his maiden over the KEE grass course, albeit during the spring meet, the obvious question being whether he can adapt to a sprint having run in nothing but route races. Will guess the answer is "yes," and in video of the Oct. 8 work he goes strongly while besting his workmate, multiple graded turf-sprint stakes winner Gear Jockey. Ample speed entered to set the table for a closer. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
4:12 KEE 7th NELSON AVENUE (#7, 8-1) was late to make the races, showed talent from his debut, but after four starts needed a break. Granted he was good in the slop winning around two turns at FG, but his second route start there suggested this 7f trip could be a fit. Not a flawless work pattern, which is of some concern, but he did that 58-second 5f bullet drill Oct. 4 without being asked. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
8:35 RP 2nd MO DANDY (#4, 6-1) draws off the fence here and perhaps that will help him turn the tables on OKIE CHROME. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
9:03 RP 3rd JJ'S AMERICAN DIVA (#5, 5-1) is back at six furlongs and the last time she raced at the distance she was a winner. The score came over a fast track and she might appreciate such a surface rating as her most recent out came in the slop. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
