DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Wednesday, February 3, 2021

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

1:00 TAM 2nd PURIMETER (#2, 5-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

1:10 GP 1st Lots of options in opener so why not try one at a price. BOTTOM DECK (#4, 20-1) showed brief speed before fading to rear of pack debuting around two turns on turn. Shortens up, drops for a tag, moves to main, expecting major improvement at second asking. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

1:30 TAM 3rd PAINTER'S PRIDE (#7, 8-1) was behind three of these same runners in that last try but that was a better effort than the running line may suggest, as he was closing ground in the lane despite some slow splits up front; also against the race flow two back, and if he gets a better set up today he could well make the last run today. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

3:44 GP 6th QUID PRO GLOW (#3, 9-2) won an early pace battle before ultimately losing the war to odds on Luisana princess while easily best of others in promising bow. Should not look back if able to shake loose right from the start with Saez. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

4:00 TAM 8th WE THE CLOUDS (#8, 6-1) makes her seasonal debut for trainer Tim Hamm and she comes back sporting a decent set of works, steady breezes that strongly suggest she's ready to run off the layoff; hasn't scored since the maiden win in her debut but she's been in some tough spots, and she seems to fit well with these. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

4:15 GP 7th CODRINGTON (#2, 2-1) looks nicely spotted for this tag after getting within several lengths of War Canoe two back. Latter would be odds on in this field. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

4:30 TAM 9th PLATINUMCENTS (#1, 10-1) is winless in four starts as a turf sprinter but she has not run a truly bad race under the conditions, and she in fact did have trouble in her most recent grass sprint; tactical speed and inside draw should work to her advantage. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
