DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Wednesday, February 24, 2021

DRF Staff|Feb 23, 2021
Dirt racing at Gulfstream Park
Ryan Thompson/Coglianese Photos Gulfstream Park kicks off a four-day week of racing at 1 p.m. Eastern on Thursday.

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

1:10 GP 1st KATE'S KINGDOM (#2, 9-2) by Animal Kingdom out of a mare who has produced a turf winner. Lures Irad. Might get brave if able to shake loose early on the stretch, switch to grass, from inside post. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

1:39 GP 2nd Walder on a roll and he's got two of the six here so why not a seventh straight. Like SURF SHACK (#5, 10-1) best of his duo stepping up off claim but with a couple of sharp works on the resume' since switching barns. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

3:21 TAM 8th OX TROT (#8, 4-1) drew off nicely for the win at this same level in his latest, and when runner-up Tony Small returned to win this weekend this gelding's stock rose; in line for a repeat score given another stalking trip from his outside post. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

4:21 TAM 9th SETHAMEE STREET (#6, 10-1) has won two straight and she's looked good doing it, powering home each time and winning going away; gets tested for class here but if she gets pace to run at she's going to be tough to stave off late, as she's undefeated in turf sprints, aside from when she lost her rider at the start three back. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

5:16 GP 9th MY GOOD MAN (#9, 15-1) returns to preferred surface after not running that badly making local bow on the grass. Finished in front of hard knocking, 5 time winner Automate only to be DQ'd in Laurel finale, should catch legit pace to run at here. Worth a look at the price. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

5:48 GP 10th FULMINI (#1, 5-1) in dangerous hands off the claim, turns back to a distance he's handle well in the past and Irad takes the call. Could run 'em all down if able to secure clean run from the rail. -Mike Welch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
