DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Wednesday, December 16, 2020

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:35 GP 1st Just looking for a hint of ability in a.m. from any of these, found it with both NICOLE PRINCESS (#6, 8-1) and QUEEN ASHY BABY (#7, 20-1) one of whom might just be good enough to win at first asking for this tag. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
1:04 GP 2nd SAVATIANO (#6, 7-2) showed some speed in the a.m. in most recent work, might be able to get loose, get brave stretching to a mile over a track that has favored that running style of late. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
2:10 TAM 4th KELCIE'S MANDATE (#4, 6-1) made a nice run to get into contention into the far turn last time and she continued well to the wire in a deceptively good effort when at this same level in her seasonal Tampa debut last time out; she will need help from the pacesetters but the pair to her inside, ORNERY ANGEL and DANGEROUS CURVES, should provide enough early foot to help set her up. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
2:36 GP 5th PRO QUALITY (#7, 12-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Get PPs for this race
3:45 TAM 7th ROCK THE PARK (#11, 10-1) is widest of the 11 entered in this sprint but he has enough positional speed to work out a good trip behind the expected pacesetters; he was off the board in his first start since May last time out but he may have needed the race, and he galloped out well past the wire after he wasn't pushed hard in deep stretch once it was clear he'd be off the board. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
4:08 GP 8th Yet another field loaded with speed. Again the outside draw could prove favorable for SUNNY ISLE BEACH (#7, 7-2) who rallied from off pace to win N2L condition while pairing up career best Beyers in process. Continues to show well in the a.m. for hot barn. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
4:15 TAM 8th KITTEN'S SPA (#2, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race
4:45 TAM 9th ONE LUCK GIRL (#6, 10-1) is the first starter out of the dam, who posted all of her three career wins in routes, but she meets a seemingly average field for her debut for trainer Tim Hamm, who does very well with firsters in maiden claimers; works suggest she has a bit of speed. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
