DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Wednesday, December 15, 2021

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
1:19 TAM 3rd IRISH DREAM GIRL (#8, 6-1) is out of a dam who won two of four career starts, all sprints, and while her first starter was best going long (Celtic Treasure won seven dirt routes) that gelding also did win a sprint; works indicate this filly has some speed and she doesn't seem to be meeting an above-average field for the class level. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
1:48 TAM 4th GOLDEN ROCKET (#8, 6-1) stretches out and moves to the turf and that figures to be her best game, as her dam, Taty's Gold, won five races on the grass and both of her two runners thus far, Matty's Express and Golden Oldie, were turf horses; trainer Mike Dini's record with horses making their second starts off an intermediate layoff (24%, $2.47 ROI) add to the appeal. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
1:58 GP 4th BABY LION (#6, 5-1) looks like the speed of this field if away running for new connections off the claim. Might handle jump to next level off last out N2L win. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
2:28 GP 5th MY BEAUTY PRINCESS (#3, 4-1) shortens to what may prove the right distance after showing speed, fading late in a couple of two turn Tapeta races during fall meet. Should be legged up for a big one especially if able to stick that head in front at some point on the turn back. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
2:48 TAM 6th Perhaps RESIDENT (#8, 8-1) can shake loose and control the tempo in this relatively paceless sprint; he came from off the pace in his local debut last time but that was at six furlongs, and at seven panels, and given the expected pace scenario, he should be expected to be on or near the lead from the start. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
2:58 GP 6th JUST LEO (#2, 4-1) one of many speed types in this lineup and perhaps quickest of the bunch if able to come away cleanly from inside. One of only two multiple winners in this lineup. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
3:18 TAM 7th JO JO KATZ (#2, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race
3:59 GP 8th FREEWHEELER (#2, 6-1) earned high marks beating N1X NY breds this fall at Belmonth, cane win the same condition against open company if able to repeat the effort for new barn. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
9:31 RP 4th BLURRED VISION (#9, 8-1) cuts back and that is a 19% move for this barn. This filly has some decent figs routing but still broke her maiden in a sprint at Lone Star. Let's see if that version shows up today. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
9:59 RP 5th SAHOMA SUNSET (#8, 12-1) ran evenly in her debut and that should set her up nicely for today's stretch-out. We like the this horse has worked at least six times since said debut. This barn is 26% off a layoff between 61-180 days. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
10:27 RP 6th RONIC (#8, 6-1) tried two turns and the turf last out and did both for the first time. He ran great to lose by less than a length at 6-1. Now get this: his turf breeding is marginal at best (196 turf Tomlinson). What if this gelding is just good? An elongated sprint might be a good fit and notice the recent bullet work. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
11:51 RP 9th SURE SHOT SHELLY (#9, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race
