Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
19 SAR 3rd SLIPSTREAM (#5, 8-1) is running out of chances to prove that he is still capable following a highly promising start to his career on turf; went longer in his return from the long layoff at Gulfstream, and he had not exactly had the best of it in any of his three sprints since, including that last one when backing away from a rated pace and then chasing to no avail late; one more try as he cuts back to the distance of his impressive stakes win as a 3yo. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
26 SAR 5th CHARGE NURSE (#7, 8-1) routed on dirt six times last year surrounding her longshot try in the NY Oaks, and was in the exacta in five of those races (three wins); has improved since stretching back out for her two most recent starts; capable with or without the lead breaking from the outside with Saez. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
10 SAR 8th BOLT D'PLATA (#7, 10-1) looked very green while getting completely outrun in his off-turf debut going short, but he was racing on with some interest late; bred for turf and more distance, and might have gotten just what he needed out of that first run. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
05 CBY 1st UNSTOPPABLE FORCE (#3, 4-1) tried two turns on the turf in his debut and that alone is very tough. It didn't help matters that he hit the gate at the start. He owns a recent work and now switches to the dirt all for a barn that has good trainer stats across the board. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
18 SAR 10th SHESASMALLTOWNGIRL (#12, 5-1) faced L J's Emma (has won three straight sprinting on turf, including the Galway with a 92 Beyer) three back when cut back to sprint on turf; flashed good speed and stayed on gamely vs. a better field last time; drops but drew a tough post on the outside. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
35 CBY 4th MA FRANCE (#1, 6-1) faced much better in SoCal but tailed off this year. New barn dropped this filly into restricted claimers and she ran well beaten only a neck and that was an off the turf race. Connections now have a better feeling for what they have and the immediately find a race where this 4YO can't be claimed. This filly has tactical speed and draws inside all while getting in light. The Silva Jr barn are 26% second off this type of layoff. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
35 CBY 6th DREAMING BIZ (#2, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race
