DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Wednesday, April 13, 2022

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:40 TAM 1st AMAZING MSKITTY (#5, 9-2) was 2nd for this tag two back, albeit in an off-the-turf race, and her late kick gives her a chance to make the last run here if likely favorite ONLY GIRL is caught up in an early duel; worth a shot against that rival as that filly makes her tenth career start in search of her first win. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:36 KEE 4th RUNAWAY WIFE (#7, 10-1) in her debut raced close to a pace that totally collapsed (stable-mate Cocktail Moments won and this past Friday was third in the G1 Ashland), and might merely have despised the mud in her second-start Oaklawn flop. First foal to race from a useful race-mare who cleared the maiden ranks over the KEE dirt. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:46 TAM 5th EXCEPT TEMPTATION (#4, 5-1) has had her chances (13) but she has some of the better Beyers in the field, and she comes off three straight races where she ran 2nd, including her latest, over this course; she rallied with interest to get the place there but she has also shown speed in the pace, and that versatility should help her work out a trip. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:08 KEE 5th MICKY FROM WEXFORD (#2, 10-1) won debut (at 25-1) last fall at KEE, so obviously can be properly prepared for a representative performance off works and gallops. Running style in that sprint score (it was an above-average MSW group) as much as anything lands him in the top slot. Hard to see this pace not coming up strong to very strong, both early and middle, and I think the race has fall-apart potential. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:40 KEE 6th KING VEGA (#9, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:50 TAM 7th DOUBLE DOT (#8, 15-1) might be worth a shot at a price, as she had a couple of valid excuses for that loss last time, when sent 11 furlongs and also stepped up in class; she was against the race flow in her prior pair and a slow start cost her in her first start off the short break. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:21 TUP 3rd JUSTIN AZTECA (#3, 8-1) is by a new sire (one of four). His dam was un-raced. All 4 sibs won with 3 having beat winners (112K, 33K, and 137K). This February bred has an age advantage over many and sold for 50K which is a lot of around here. This barn is 27% with their 2YO's. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
7:43 TUP 8th ROCKIN IN (#10, 10-1) got play in both starts to date. She draws best today. All 5 sibs beat winners. The blinkers go ON and that should help her early placement. This barn is 25% with their maiden claimers. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
