?q=100)
Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:20 TAM 1st The dam of SHADY DAISY (#9, 6-1), Motivated Sreva, was best on the turf, posting all three of her career wins on the green, but she produced at least three winners who scored on the main track; trainer Timothy Hamm has six wins at Tampa since 2020 with firsters in maiden claimers on the main track (23% win rate over that span). -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
12:50 TAM 2nd Thought PEACE FIRE (#8, 4-1) ran well in defeat in that last one, and though she was off the board in her first start on the turf she had a tough time there, as she was unable to get near the lead in that pace-filled field; big threat to steal this if finally able to get clear in the opening stages. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
1:32 KEE 2nd BOYNE VALLEY (#6, 20-1) has a steady and longish work pattern for a trainer who went 0-3 with spring 2yo firsters last April at Keeneland but won two such races during the April 2021 meet. For what it's worth, three of the dam's four foals to race won their career debut. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
1:50 TAM 4th VILLAGE PREACHER (#6, 10-1) is an upgrade candidate in his third start off the layoff after racing well off the pace in his latest, a race that featured little speed, giving the edge to the speeds (note inverted "S" in DRF pp line); turns back to a sprint but may be able to make the last run if he gets a clean trip and an honest pace. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
2:36 KEE 4th BABY QUINN (#4, 15-1) hasn't raced since June but barn that spots their stock realistically has the horse in for $30K 11 months after he was claimed for $40K. That means they still value BQ, who has raced but four times and was a second-start maiden winner for this $30,000 claiming price. Long string of works, first time racing as a gelding, and blinkers off. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
3:08 KEE 5th ICONIC ADVENTURE (#10, 12-1) was eased in his Jan. 20 return from a long layoff but showed far more on Feb. 10. He won on dirt over this nine-furlong trip in Feb. 22 after finishing third the previous December to the 2022 Preakness winner, and most importantly, he makes his first start on turf, for which he's very much bred, and first since being gelded. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
3:40 KEE 6th STREET SWAGG (#7, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh). | Get PPs for this race
3:50 TAM 8th BUSTIN UP (#2, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race
7:18 TUP 7th NEVADAN (#7, 5-1) found a good spot last out and won at 9/5. This field isn't that much better. This guy draws outside again. The Asprino barn is 27% with horses that won their last race. We know that this 10YO can put good races back to back. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
