Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
58 KD 2nd Since June, trainer E Kenneally is 15-4-4-4 with his first-time starters in MSWs, a very healthy number. Debuting SAM STORMY (#3, 12-1) has gotten in plenty of work for the career debut and might be overlooked to some extent in the win pool. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
48 KD 7th Homebred first-time starter TIGER TAP (#6, 10-1) is the first foal to race out of a good middle-distance grass mare, and she brings to this race a work pattern with no holes dating to mid-June. Trainer B Walsh's longer-term record with 2yo MSW first-timers in grass routes is modest, but he's had a couple such winners over the last year. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
23 KD 8th MR. TIP (#1, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh). | Get PPs for this race
31 KD 10th D'ORO FOREVER (#4, 20-1) away since April 2021, now starts over for new barn while trying turf for the first time. KY Oaks winning mare has been a great producer, though this filly showed only modest pre-layoff ability. Might be more there. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
10 CBY 3rd CHAI TEA (#6, 6-1) is the value. She figures a nice trip in this six horse field. Harr knows this filly well and current form is fine. She gets off the rail while trying this distance for the first time. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
00 WBS (Harness) 4th SALDANA HANOVER (#7, 4-1) was going to be much closer than she finished in her debut but she suffered interference and was taken about eight lanes wide coming off the final turn to avoid some confusion. I think driver McNair sends her tonight; top call. – Garnet Barnsdale | Get PPs for this race
10 CBY 5th STAGECOACH BOYS (#9, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race
40 CBY 6th KOVACS (#6, 6-1) ran well three and four back and then faced tougher two back. He caught the mud in his most recent. He tries this level for the second time and gets a jock switch to help shake things up. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
40 CBY 8th SOMERSETSLASTRIDE (#5, 8-1) is by a 6% debut sire. His dam went 64-14-13-13 and earned 211K. One of two sibs won. We really like this work tab and the price will entice. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
55 RP 7th CANEY'S GHOST (#5, 6-1) figures to make good use of the bit of added real estate he picks up in this spot. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
51 RP 9th FLY TO THE BANK (#1, 9-2) is back in the overnight ranks off the stakes-placing. For the effort last time, he popped a carer-high Beyer Speed Figure. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
