Michael Burns Woodbine is one of several tracks featured in Thursday's Playbook.

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

3:39 LAD 3rd NO COST (#2, 9-2) is feeling great. She ran a solid second on the green at Evangeline only three back. She draws well and keeps Dominguez who is 46% for this barn. -Scott Ehlers

4:11 BAQ 7th CURBSTONE (#5, 30-1) has tried going back to turf recently to no avail; he has always been better on this surface, and he really seemed to find himself last year before having that campaign cut short; returned from the layoff this year with a strong effort over this track and trip, before catching an intensely speed-favoring track in the Excelsior; needs his best but is capable and is likely to get overlooked in this field. -Mike Beer

4:33 LAD 5th SWEET TALKIN SLICK (#9, 12-1) never got a breather in his most recent but we bet that turf experience comes in handy today. Team Foster puts the blinkers ON and that is a 21% move for them. Dominguez is excellent on the grass and 26% for this barn. -Scott Ehlers

4:50 WO 1st ZODIAC BEACH (#1, 8-1) was in good Tapeta form before struggling in her last two races around two turns on the inner turf. Nicholls has excellent numbers for successful turf/synth trainer Hall, who's having a productive meet. -Ron Gierkink

5:48 WO 3rd ZIPPY GIZMO (#6, 6-1) has a number of improvement angles going for him heading into this $25K NW3 turf sprint, including first-time gelding, first-Lasix, and a noteworthy drop in class. He worked well the other day and the capable Aebly picks up the mount. -Ron Gierkink

6:21 LAD 9th MERRILY RUSH (#10, 6-1) got a 71 Beyer on this sod only three back. She tried winners two back but not sure what happened in her most recent. She cuts back to a sprint and team Wong is 39% with their turf sprinters. Her distance Tomlinson of 364 hints at sprint ability. -Scott Ehlers

6:40 CBY 4th ST. ELMO (#9, 8-1) puts three races together and gets good race flow. Current form is solid and his regular rider tags along. Back class is hard to miss. -Scott Ehlers

6:46 WO 5th TEMPLE HALL (#8, 6-1) is the lone entrant in this maiden special for 2yos with racing experience. At 18-1, he set a lively pace before fading to fourth in his 6 1/2-furlong opener. Lasix is added for this six-furlong maiden special by a successful second-out trainer. -Ron Gierkink

7:10 CBY 5th MIDSHIP MOLLY (#11, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers).

7:15 WO 6th I'M A BOURBON GIRL (#7, 12-1) beat NW2 allowance types two back on the dirt at Fort Erie and was in tight along the rail while steadied most recently on the Tapeta at this NW3 level, a fade job that can be excused. The closer has tons of speed to chase in this five-furlong dash and could prevail at a square price. -Ron Gierkink

7:30 RP 1st RUNHAPPY D'ORO (#2, 8-1) moves back to the dirt for the opener and he's put up his best career Beyer Speed Figure to date on the main track. He's also appealing on class as one who has been facing steeper. -Mary Rampellini

8:40 CBY 8th FRANNY (#8, 8-1) is by a 0 for 1 debut sire (all sire stats are for 2YO's only). Her dam went 5-2-1-1 for 35K and this is her first foal. Works are well spaced and this filly might get lost on the tote. -Scott Ehlers

9:26 RP 5th CLEVER VICTORY (#5, 6-1) debuted against a quality kind of winner at Prairie Meadows two starts ago and last time proved a strong fit at this level at Remington. -Mary Rampellini

10:53 RP 8th The well-bred COUSIN LARRY (#7, 8-1) is back at one turn, the site of both his last win and his best recent finishes. He was second two back to Media Mogul, a half-brother to champion Arcangelo who has since struck again at Remington. -Mary Rampellini
