Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:00 GP 1st FITZ'S MO (#4, 15-1) showed speed in his debut here May 22, dueling for the early lead before fading to 6th. Not only did he duel and not only was that his debut, it came vs. tougher straight maidens. That run looks better, too, when you note 3 he faced there came right back to win. So, freshened since with some good works he returns here with the most important drop in the game. -Michael Hammersly
12:58 GP 3rd RIVETING SPIRIT (#7, 8-1) was no factor in her debut here Aug. 1, ending up 4th beaten a long ways (24 1/2 lengths) but you can always be forgiving about a first run. She's worked well since for a trainer who has strong 2nd-time-out numbers and all 3 sibs are winners including Epic Drama (49-7-7-13, $165K, SP) and Noble Drama (20-5-5-2, $436K, 3 SWs, 6 SPs) so she has a right to move forward. -Michael Hammersly
1:10 LRL 2nd H R H JELLYBEAN (#1, 6-1) attempts to repeat the dirt-to-turf pattern that resulted in his blowout maiden win for $16,000 two starts back. Showed excellent speed to push the leader from the outside and was never challenged while drawing away in the stretch. This is obviously a tougher spot, but like his combination of early zip and upside potential. -Dan Illman

1:15 KD 1st JUNGLE JUICE (#4, 6-1) drops to easily the lowest level of her three-start N American career and does so after the best of those three races. She's been stuck as as tweener, neither miler nor short sprinter, and this longer one-turn race really should suit. First trip over the Euro-style KD course should pose no problem since she had a length career overseas. -Marcus Hersh
1:47 KD 2nd TESTY KITTEN (#7, 20-1) hasn't raced on turf since June 7, 2019, when he was third with a 68 Beyer going at a similar class level at an 11-furlong distance likely farther than he prefers. His other three grass starts came at the start of his career, in NY, and don't really seem representative of the horse he is now. Rained off turf in his last two, is bred for turf, and expecting him to improve on turf. Another part of the appeal regarding T Kitten - he can race from off the pace, and I'm looking for fast fractions here. -Marcus Hersh
2:10 LRL 4th A GIRL NAMED JAC (#3, 10-1) was purchased for $74,000 at public auction in January and was washed off the turf in first race following 279 days on the sidelines. Gained fitness from that effort chasing razor-sharp Coconut Cake and is bred both sides for the lawn. Graduated in second lifetime start at this distance on dirt last year and is expected to be charging in the stretch. -Dan Illman

4:10 LRL 8th TO THE FRONT (#11, 12-1) went very fast early when given blinkers for the first time and hung in there gamely in a live race. The winner returned to score a $14,000 'beaten' claimer with a 61 Beyer while the third-finisher came back to grab a nickel 'two-life' with a 59. Although the dam didn't win on turf, she is by excellent grass sire War Front and she earned her career-best 72 Beyer on the surface. Expect to see high speed from the outside post. -Dan Illman
4:27 KD 7th RED HOT BABE (#6, 5-1) the second foal to race out of Room Service, who won the G1 Ashland on dirt and the G1 American Oaks on turf. Lighting it up on the KEE work tab and looks sharp for debut. -Marcus Hersh
7:10 CBY 4th GATITO (#8, 4-1) just ran better and was DQ'd into the winner's circle at a nice almost 5-1. This gelding was buried on the rail in his last two starts but now draws best. We think this guy will love an elongated sprint while Arrieta is 2 for 3 for the Keplin barn. -Scott Ehlers
7:40 CBY 5th OFF THE MEDS (#2, 9-2) has been trying tougher since he got here so the class drop is welcome. Losing Eikleberry hurts a little. Race flow is fine and this colt draws inside. We see Hernandez ride a lot of this barn and he is very good from off the pace. -Scott Ehlers
8:10 CBY 6th THIRTY SECONDS OUT (#9, 15-1) ran OK on the grass two and three back and got matching 62 figs. Not sure what happened last out. The Keplin barn is 58% with new runners. This gelding gets back to the turf something he is bred to like. -Scott Ehlers
8:40 CBY 7th ROSIE'S FLOWER'S (#9, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers).
