DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Thursday, November 5, 2020

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:30 GPW 2nd MINDSHIP Q (#5, 3-1) hasn't been disgraced in a few outings vs. more expensive. In fact, all his work has come vs. more expensive. He showed more speed in his first start here last time out Oct. 7. The drop figures to help. Six of his 8 sibs to race are winners including Tap Softly (24-6-3-6, $207K, 3 SPs), Blue Mountain (40-10-7-2, $177K, SW) and Shanghai Keely (12-4-1-2, $158K, 3 SWs, 2 SPs). -Michael Hammersly | Get PPs for this race
2:04 LRL 4th STICKINGTOGETHER (#3, 8-1) has the pedigree to handle the turf as she's a half-sister to five grass victors including multiple stakes-winner Giant Run and Grade 3-placed Who's Cozy. Her dam defeated males to win the Grade 2 Jersey Derby on the weeds at Garden State. Stakes-placed on dirt behind the talented Hello Beautiful last year at two, she finished ahead of next-out 67-Beyer winner Epic Idea (Maryland Million Ladies) in her most recent off-the-turf effort. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race
2:46 WO 2nd BEARAKONTIE (#5, 6-1) is stretching back out to a route on the Tapeta off a dismal turf experiment, while dropping from $10K to the bottom $5K maiden class. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
3:12 LRL 6th Although OUTSIDE THE BOX (#4, 6-1) raced on the preferred inside footing at Pimlico on October 1, he simply had too much work to do attempting to rally into a slow pace that was controlled by the top two finishers. He was one of the few horses that made up meaningful late ground in that race and was flattered when the winner returned to finish second in a $16,000 starter-optional with a 76 Beyer. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race
3:40 GPW 8th GENERIC JOE (#15, 4-1), an AE, brings a full, solid work tab into his debut for a trainer who has strong debut-win numbers. Not only does he appear to have ample bottom with all those works his lone sib is Flamigo Bay (8-1-0-1, $25K, that lone win coming on turf). -Michael Hammersly | Get PPs for this race
3:46 LRL 7th BOBBY'S GOLDENGIRL (#1, 5-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Dan Illman). Get PPs for this race
4:22 WO 5th WILE E PEYOTE (#9, 6-1) had troubled trips in his first two local starts, in a pair of Tapeta sprints, before finishing a fast-closing third in a slow-paced grass route most recently. He could make some noise as a longshot in this $40K turf sprint with Kimura retaining the mount. -Ron Gierkink |Get PPs for this race
4:52 WO 6th LINE OF VISION (#6, 15-1) made a wide bid into third on the far turn before flattening out to fifth when returning from an 11-month absence in a $20K claimer two weeks ago. That tightener should set the multiple stakes winner up nicely for this $15K event. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
5:22 WO 7th TIZ PRICELESS (#9, 8-1) is winless in six starts at the meet, but the four-time winner in 2019 is exiting an improved performance at this price and distance, and could end her slide with Hoyte back aboard. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
9:03 RP 3rd MEAN CANNON (#7, 6-1) makes the meaningful move to the maiden claiming ranks for the first time - after picking up checks in his three starts against maiden allowance foes. He also owns the field's best last-race and career Beyer Speed Figure. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
11:23 RP 8th DUNPH (#8, 4-1) makes a rare appearance on turf and he gets pedigree support for the surface switch. He also has been facing steeper. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
