DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Thursday, November 30, 2023

DRF Staff|Nov 29, 2023
Aqueduct dirt racing
Barbara D. Livingston First post for Aqueduct racing is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

1:18 AQU 3rd ALWAYS CHARMING (#4, 7-2) hasn't been competitive in his last two starts vs. better, but he came back from the long layoff running this year with wins in his first two starts, followed by a couple of solid efforts against entry-level allowance rivals; not viewing this as a negative drop considering where he came from and he is tactical. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race

3:14 AQU 7th Need to get a price on pace-dependent WINNING DRIVE (#1, 10-1), though that hasn't been an issue recently; had a decent setup last time, and he was running too late; thought he ran an underrated race two back when having no real chance behind a front-running winner and getting in tight in midstretch to cost himself a better placing. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race

4:40 WO 1st SISTER COUSIN (#9, 8-1) is a fresh new face in this formless $15K maiden event and perhaps the Remington shipper could be tough on the drop from maiden special company in her synthetic track debut. The daughter of 6% synthetic sire Sharp Azteca worked a bullet half-mile in :48 here recently on the Tapeta for a trainer with a 22% strike rate with new shooters. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race

6:07 WO 4th GREEN GABLES (#4, 12-1) was softened up in a speed duel when fifth in her return to Woodbine three weeks ago following a successful stint at Fort Erie. She could be the dominant speed in this easier $5K claimer with Crawford taking over. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race

7:05 WO 6th GOODLUCKMATE (#4, 10-1) had a bit of a wide trip over an inside-favoring surface when out of the money in each of his last two outings vs. OS/$40K stock. He's taking on much easier NW2 opposition in this $25K seller and should make his presence known with Campos retaining the mount for Attfield. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race

7:34 WO 7th QUIET MADDELENA (#1, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). | Get PPs for this race

8:07 RP 1st BRING IT ON BABY (#1, 8-1) leaves the statebred ranks behind, but won over open foes in May. She also is appealing for her tactical speed. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race

9:31 RP 4th RANCHO A GO GO (#3, 9-2) has tactical speed and a win at the distance. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race

10:55 RP 7th GET READY GAL (#6, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mary Rampellini). | Get PPs for this race
