Michael Burns First post for Woodbine racing is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

1:50 GP 3rd EDGE OF FREEDOM (#1, 5-1) looks like a filly with plenty of room for improvement making just the third start of her form cycle off game albeit not very well graded maiden win. Runner-up flattered effort return to win her next and loved the way this gal galloped away from the field after the race suggesting there is more upside to come. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race

3:29 WO 2nd DADDY'S DAISY (#8, 15-1) has worked well for her first run since Dec. 12, when she was a belated fourth vs. $5K non-two distaffers. She's protected by waiver in this inflated $15K non-two claimer and note that she just missed off a similar layoff in her '24 opener. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race

4:50 GP 9th FAST FIXER (#8, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Get PPs for this race

5:38 WO 6th MOON LANDING (#4, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). | Get PPs for this race

6:09 WO 7th CARA CARA (#1, 9-2) faded from a three-wide stalking position on a track that featured a golden rail to end up fourth in her return. She was knocking on the door at this level last fall before coming up empty in her final '24 outing, and could be a speed threat after breaking from the rail in a field without much gas. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race

6:39 WO 8th SPELLCHECK (#6, 6-1) has worked like gangbusters for her first start since a chalky second vs. $25K maidens Dec. 12. The daughter of elite sire Candy Ride is out of a turf winner and could find her calling on the grass, over which she's yet to compete. Note that she's protected by waiver in this OS/$40K contest. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
