6:09 WO 7th CARA CARA (#1, 9-2) faded from a three-wide stalking position on a track that featured a golden rail to end up fourth in her return. 6:39 WO 8th SPELLCHECK (#6, 6-1) has worked like gangbusters for her first start since a chalky second vs. $25K maidens Dec. 12. The daughter of elite sire Candy Ride is out of a turf winner and could find her calling on the grass, over which she's yet to compete.
