Willing to forgive the grass effort and she didn’t have much pace to attack over sealed, sloppy going two starts back. 2:56 GP 5th VELVET ISLE (#6, 15-1) not likely to see that 15-1 ML price switching to this barn and with a 59 and change gate work on his resume’ prepping for return from extended vacation. 3:25 PIM 6th MAKES MO CENTS (#2, 5-1) ran well off the layoff last year at Delaware and is expected to fire fresh for low-profile barn. Most recent turf effort at Colonial last summer was solid as he settled in midpack, split horses on the second turn, eased three deep into the stretch and just couldn’t reel in the gate-to-wire winner. 3:27 GP 6th KARENVILLE (#4, 5-2) held game in the face of a challenge from eventual winner Smooth Pebble in latest, the latter a Clement dropper who benefited from perfect trip to take this same condition. 4:31 GP 8th COFFEE BUZZ BUZZ (#7, 5-1) hard used contesting wicked fast pace going a mile off the claim last time now turns back to perhaps a more suitable distance while also dropping in company for the finale.
