DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Thursday, March 31, 2022

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
1:05 GP 1st ISABELLA'S DREAM (#1, 12-1) can use his 3/3 wakeup to go a lot deeper in the lane this time; speed-show vs. similar in a race he surely needed was a very positive sign, and few are as good as Leparoux in getting a front-runner like this to dole out its speed in the right measure. -Marty McGee | Get PPs for this race
1:33 GP 2nd Overflow cast of mid-level mdn.-claiming synth sprinters is one of the deeper races of the day. Looking for a couple of outside draws, TRIPLE P (#11, 6-1) and JUNO SEA (#12, 4-1), both to benefit from class drops and the likelihood of clean trips from the outer; the former gets Irad following a main-track race that was too bad to be true, and the latter comes off a pretty solid turf effort from the tricky one-hole; either can do. -Marty McGee | Get PPs for this race
1:52 AQU 2nd TALE OF MINESHAFT (#6, 9-2) won his dirt debut in February with a game late run sprinting; stepped up on the stretch out last time and was forced to try a wide run before weakening in the stretch; don't think this distance is too much for him and he might really appreciate getting over a fast track as he goes off the claim. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
2:36 GP 4th BET ON DRAMA (#6, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Marty McGee). | Get PPs for this race
3:06 GP 5th A couple of 4yo geldings who were overmatched when returning from layoffs in their only starts at this meet both stand a chance to do much better with those comebacks under them. They are MY SEA COTTAGE (#10, 12-1), who showed early interest before beating a predictable fade in a high-graded allowance in late January, and PERFORMING ARTS, who, like the top pick, also had the misfortune of facing the rapid Mid Day Image in his return to action; major improvement to be reasonably expected from both when dropped in for these N2L-claiming conditions. -Marty McGee | Get PPs for this race
3:56 AQU 6th SOUTH AFRICA (#3, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get PPs for this race
4:33 OP 6th MY BOSS LADY (#7, 4-1) came rolling from last for third in her most recent start and gets a tad more real estate to work with in this spot. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
5:01 AQU 8th MY INSPIRATION (#9, 6-1) showed speed and tired to finish a distant third on the stretch out last time; didn't think he ran poorly in his first two starts and can give him a chance at a price as cuts back to sprint. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
6:47 TUP 8th J J'S CROWN (#5, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race
9:00 YR (Harness) 7th TECHYS ANGEL N (#5, 7-2) delivered against NW15000L5's in her U.S. debut last Thursday, and I believe she's capable of handling the step up in class. – Greg Reinhart | Get PPs for this race
