Barbara D. Livingston First post for Saratoga racing is scheduled for 12:40 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

12:40 SAR 1st BLINGING IT BACK (#2, 3-1) finished behind one of his rivals in this Tremont on debut at Churchill, though he was the interesting horse emerging from that race as he raced very greenly throughout while still managing to make a strong late run up the rail; dangerous if he figured things out from that experience. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race

2:19 SAR 4th SHESINAMOOD (#5, 20-1) won her debut over this course and distance as a 2yo more impressively than it may appear, then went right back to the sidelines; started back in a shorter sprint at Gulfsteeam that was dominated on the lead, and she also ran deceptively well in that spot while getting jammed up behind horses at the back, before racing on too late, and then galloping out strongly; back to turf after getting rained off last time, and she might be a lot better than she looks. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race

2:52 SAR 5th Only four of the ten fillies in the body of this field have a prior turf start, and none of them have reached the Beyer par for this kind of race. NIGHT JASMINE (#1, 10-1) was away slowly from the gate and then bumped, before getting outrun in the dirt sprint debut, which had the look of a prep; had her scheduled turf debut rained off last time, and was once again ridden without urgency, before passing some horses late; homebred by English Channel has turf on both sides of her pedigree, and she drew a perfect post for the stretch out; eligible to improve quickly. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race

3:26 SAR 6th MURSAL (#10, 10-1) has held good form since arriving in NY in 2023 with back-to-back wins over this distance, and she ran well twice up here that summer without winning; she missed over a year after being claimed last February, but looked as good as ever winning off that long layoff with a new Beyer top; tried cutting back vs tougher last time and tried hard to no avail; needs a trip from the outside but she can go with these horses, and she will be a price. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race

3:32 GP 6th BRODERIE (#5, 8-1) is more than capable when sprinting something she gets back to today. Those route tries 2, 3, and 4 back are solid while her most recent wasn't a clean trip. Race flow isn't the quickest but it isn't pace-less either. This mare finished 2nd in her lone start on this surface and it came going this distance versus 40K maiden claimers. Does the blinker addition keep her just a tad closer to the pace? We would like that. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race

3:30 WO 2nd TATOOSONMYSOUL (#2, 8-1) tracked the leader in second before flattening out late on her left lead to third when protected by wavier in her seven-furlong comeback. Her trainer has a 20% strike rate second-time off a layoff and this consistent 5yo doesn't have much to beat in this bottom non-two tilt. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race

4:31 WO 4th SINFUL FORESTER (#6, 6-1) ran just off a live rail on the turn before checking in fourth in her final '24 appearance going seven-eighths. She was a dull fifth against $25K maidens in her return to action and could make some noise at a square price here for $10K. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race

6:06 WO 7th HOLIDAY ROSE (#9, 10-1) worked a quick half-mile from the gate in :48 on May 21 and seems realistically spotted in this $15K maiden sprint for her debut. Paul Buttigieg died recently and his longtime assistant, Rick Hayashi, has taken over the training duties for the operation. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
