2:20 IND 1st BANDIDO DE AMORES (#6, 10-1) runs well fresh and one of his better races gives him a reasonable chance to win in a race where Last Two Words could be an overbet favorite. - Marcus Hersh

2:23 BEL 3rd UNBRIDLED JOHN (#8, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer).

2:55 BEL 4th ABIDING STAR (#3, 5-1) ran at this level over the inner turf last May and dominated a field right on the front end, after which he went on to place in stakes at Delaware and Mountaineer, and then win one at Parx, all with nearly identical figures; has excuses for his final two starts of the year as he tried a difficult cut back in the Rainbow and then was contesting the pace from the outside in the Artie Schiller on a day when the inside was the place to be. -Mike Beer

3:27 BEL 5th FRENCHIE FROU FROU (#6, 12-1) debuted sprinting on dirt early in the meet and made a little run into that race after breaking slowly, only to flatten out late; switches to turf off the claim and she has the pedigree to handle it being out of the mare French Breeze, who is a sister to Grade 1 turf winner Mirth and whose lone career win came sprinting on the grass. -Mike Beer

4:43 WO 3rd FINE LADY (#4, 4-1) broke awkwardly from the outside post before passing some rivals when sixth while going five-eighths two weeks ago. She should be more prominent in this six-furlong event, in her second start off a 10-month break. -Ron Gierkink

5:04 BEL 8th TOY (#6, 8-1) not only got into compromising trouble in upper stretch, he was in a tight spot every step of that one-turn LRL mile, bravely holding position throughout. Was set to win by more last time before he got shut off, and has a strong upward pattern. Should get a good setup and likely to be a fair price. - Marcus Hersh

5:12 WO 4th BIG MAMBA (#4, 6-1) made a bid into contention at the top of the stretch before flattening out to third when returning to action in an identical spot. She had lots of speed to chase here and could be along in time. -Ron Gierkink

5:36 BEL 9th Though we might see MAGNOLIA'S LADY (#3, 6-1) on dirt for her second start but she debuted on this surface and ran quite well in a race she appeared to really need; Rice excels with second time-starting maidens and the added distance of this race likely benefits this filly more than it does her main rivals. -Mike Beer

7:10 CBY 4th RENTAL POOL (#3, 9-2) won her only turf race and it came versus special weights here. This filly has never seen claimers. Her return sprint try was a nice even effort and that should set the table for two turns today. Trainer stats are good across the board. -Scott Ehlers

7:15 WO 8th SPRING EDITION (#8, 15-1) landed on the edges in his comeback against NW3 OS/$40K rivals, which should set him up nicely for this lesser event. He could mow down all the speed as a longshot. -Ron Gierkink

8:10 CBY 6th ANNIE'S SHENANIGAN (#9, 15-1) is by a 10% debut sire and a 10% debut turf sire. Her dam went 15-2-1-0 and earned 16K (4-0-0-0 on the turf). All 3 sibs won while lone turf sibling is 7-2-0-0 for 21K (won turf debut). This filly gets in light and has a nice work tab. Expecting a big price. -Scott Ehlers
