DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Thursday, June 24, 2021

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
1:49 WO 2nd QUEEN BEACH (#4, 6-1) raced wide throughout over an inside-biased track en route to a close sixth-place finish while protected in her comeback on opening day. That performance should set her up nicely for this similar event, in which Stein takes over from the suspended Salles. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:18 WO 3rd ERASMO’S GIRL (#2, 8-1) woke up at nearly 20-1 when second in her final 2yo appearance. The daughter of English Channel is bred to be a late developer, and Wilson stays aboard for a good layoff trainer. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:24 WO 7th ELITE ELEGANCE (#9, 8-1) worked decently from the gate June 5 with Elite Princess, and could be taking an edge in this bottom $7.5K maiden dash. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:54 WO 8th SOUL FREEDOM (#3, 10-1) is a debuting half-brother to turf stakes winners Reconnect and Seen It All Before. The gifted Kimura has the mount for the live Colebrook barn, which has low numbers with first-timers, but this one seems reasonably spotted for $25K. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:43 BEL 6th WRITE THIS DOWN (#10, 4-1) had a little trouble when rained off and finishing 3rd in her debut; got to turf last time and chased a quick pace from the start before tiring; drops with Lasix on and switches to Rosario while cutting back slightly. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:15 BEL 7th CUSTOMEREXPERIENCE (#2, 4-1) didn’t come close to running her best race vs. a tougher group of $40k claimers last time; had been in excellent form since being claimed by Rudy prior to that and will have no trouble stretching back out in distance for this; rebound threat. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:45 BEL 8th CALL ON MISCHIEF (#4, 10-1) has much to prove on this surface vs. this kind of competition, though her first two attempts sprinting on turf early in her career were excellent efforts while still finding her way; has improved since then while keeping good company on the dirt and placing in the Correction; interesting at a price switching back to turf. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
7:15 BEL 9th NEW YORK DANCER (#12, 8-1) debuting for an underrated trainer while being offered for her yearling purchase price; dam was a debut winner prior to winning and placing in stakes races sprinting on dirt, and her first four foals are all multiple winners, three of them turf winners, and three of them also debut winners. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:10 CBY 5th JUST SPLENDID (#3, 5-1) was just unlucky to lose last out at 25-1. She has now hit the exacta on this dirt in 7 of 11 starts. Horse for course adds a half furlong and we think that actually helps her. Last chance for a good price? -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:40 CBY 6th DARK SOLUTION (#8, 15-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
9:10 CBY 7th GO GET THAT (#7, 9-2) is simply feeling great. We love that last start. MC lines from 2 and 3 back help the price as many a ‘capper has no idea where that is (Miles City racetrack is in Montana). This gelding goes second time this dirt and cuts back to six furlongs which he seems to like at 5-1-2-0. The leading rider now gets a leg up and is 2 for 3 for this barn? -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
9:40 CBY 8th HURRICAIN HUNTER (#5, 12-1) is by a 7% debut turf sire. Her dam went 9-1-1-1 on the green for 33K (stakes placed). One of two sibs is a multiple grass winner of 237K. This filly loves the local dirt and could do the same on the green. Lone grass start came around two turns at Mountaineer and this gal finished 2nd by a head at 9-1? -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
