This is the family of Grade 1-winning turf miler Soaring Free. Capuano barn is 4 for the last 9 (44%, $8.58 ROI) with debut runners (three winners with Carlos Lopez aboard). June 18 gate work matches barn's 3-year-old Imagine It All, who returned seven days later to finish third in a quarter "two-life" seller on turf with a 66 Beyer (60 wet-dirt Beyer top). LRL 8th 4:06 MAJESTIC FRONTIER (#5, 5-1) (1,079 lbs. on 6/9) was bumped leaving the gate in first start for Magee, then tried to rally over a speed-friendly track against a gate-to-wire winner. Made an early move in between horses into contention, split foes on the second turn, altered course outside in midstretch, then failed to threaten. He was the one who took advantage of a speed-favoring track when scoring two back and seems adaptable to any pace scenario. – Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race
4:38 LRL 9th PRINCE PERE (#2, 9-2) ran into a buzzsaw in odds-on, gate-to-wire winner S. Muffin (earned an 89 Beyer) at Delaware. The third-finisher returned to finish second in an off-turf, first-level allowance at Delaware with a 79 Beyer. Saved ground in midpack, then finished evenly behind a rider-less horse in the stretch. Has the tactical speed to get close to the pace for barn that went 4 for 12 (33%, $5.20 ROI) between 5/11 and 6/24. – Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race
4:50 WO 1st FORESTERS PRINCESS (#3, 4-1) raced four-wide most of the way before checking in third in a similar spot in her second start off the sidelines. She's being reunited with Wilson for the turnback to a distance over which she's questionable, but this field isn't all that tough for the level. – Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
7:20 WO 6th CHAIRMAN RAINBOW (#7, 5-1) earned the highest Beyer in this field (73) when a prominent third in his debut on the Tapeta. He wasn't as effective most recently on the grass and has worked quickly on the Tapeta for his return to the main track.
