3:10 WO 1st TAKE CHANCES (#7, 6-1) had rough trip before checking in third when exiting a six-month layoff in a route at this non-two class July 5. 4:19 WO 3rd NAVY STREET (#7, 6-1) is adding blinkers off a wide sixth-place finish vs. non-two allowance opponents. The stakes-placed chestnut worked nicely the other day and should get back on the beam in this easier non-two tilt for OS/$40K claimers. 6:55 WO 8th SPORTY ANGELA (#3, 8-1) is debuting with a speed pedigree at a realistic level for a trainer with excellent numbers with unraced runners. 7:00 DMR 5th REHEARSAL (#4, 6-1) is overdue for the second victory of her career. Since her maiden win last fall, she finished in the money all four turf-route starts at this N2L starter level, she has a pressing style to create her own trip, and she ran well over the DMR course last year. 7:36 CBY 4th DR. PERRY (#8, 6-1) ran quite well on this sod only two back. Not sure what happened last out other than this guy being further back early than what he wants. 8:30 DMR 8th WINIKA (#4, 8-1) A challenging Thursday card ends with a wide-open turf mile for maiden-50 fillies and mares. Winika stretches out following an improved third in maiden-50 turf sprint. That was her second start following a winter break, she showed in her runner-up finish last fall she likes the DMR course and can run long. 8:36 CBY 6th NEOTERIC (#5, 6-1) faced 11 foes when last seen on the sod and beat 9 home. That was in his second start off a layoff and now he goes...second off the layoff. Turf and distance Tommies are rock solid at 332/320. His last race came back key when 2 of 5 returned to win with figs of 64 and 63. This horse lost by a neck in his only local grass start.
