DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Thursday, January 14, 2021

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:35 GP 1st SHOUG (#1, 7-2) rallied for second when returning from an extended layoff a month ago. She should take some beating in this identical spot with blinkers on, a 25% angle for trainer Ralph Nicks. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
1:35 GP 3rd TAKE PROFIT (#2, 9-2) was a distant but respectable third behind two nice prospects in the $100K Central Park at Aqueduct, which was more like a G3 than a listed stakes. The son of European champion 2yo Air Force Blue worked a bullet at Palm Meadows the other day and is a good fit in this N1X over 7 1/2 furlongs, the distance over which he graduated at Delaware. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:05 GP 4th SCOTTY BROWN (#6, 5-1) reversed his speed style and rallied for second when cutting back to five-eighths at this $35K class Dec. 18, from which the third horse exited to wire another $35K field going a mile with an 80 Beyer. That was his first try for Cibelli, and accomplished turf rider Alvarado retains the mount. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:38 GP 5th GAGA OH LA LA (#3, 5-1) raced wide from post 12 while a bit green when a clear second in her $12.5K debut. She's adding Lasix for this $16K contest, which didn't come up all that tough. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:15 TP 1st Like the improved works coupled with the equipment change for GUILDER (#6, 12-1) who may come back running from the short rest; off the board but against the race flow in her lone try on the main track last time. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
