Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. Post Time: 1:00 ET     Track: Laurel (3rd Race)           Horse: PICHU (#8, 5-1) PICHU was pinched back at the start last time out and made up modest gains to finish fourth, far removed from her usual running style near the front; in December, she earned a career-best 49 Beyer in a $12,500 claimer while vying for the early lead, so if she can get back to her usual sort of trip, she should be able to keep building. -Patrick Moquin | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 1:05 ET     Track: Tampa Bay Downs (2nd Race)               Horse: STAR OF SATURN (#2, 15-1) STAR OF SATURN is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 1:20 ET     Track: Gulfstream (3rd Race)                Horse: JIMBO BAILEY (#1, 4-1) JIMBO BAILEY got bogged down on a deep rail when second best in a key race last time but while turning in career best effort on dirt. Might be able to spring the upset if able to get outside in better footing to sustain his late run with this group. -Mike Welsch | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 1:50 ET     Track: Gulfstream (4th Race)                Horse: GOLDEN VALLEY (#8, 5-1) GOLDEN VALLEY a question mark on dirt although worked extremely well over the surface on 1/16 and well posted outside on turn back to six panels. Should come running late if kept out in better footing at the end. -Mike Welsch | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 2:00 ET     Track: Laurel (5th Race)           Horse: MY EMI SHIRAZ (#2, 8-1) MY EMI SHIRAZ isn't the most reliable top pick, but in a field that seems to be burdened by experience in some cases, it's intriguing to bet on the second-time starter to take a step forward; the Upstart filly displayed the mildest interest in her December debut, improving from ninth to sixth; Salzman is still pulling some tricks, adding blinkers and tapping Torrealba to take the reins; she's working well and seems to offer upside at a price. -Patrick Moquin | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:12 ET     Track: Aqueduct (6th Race)   Horse: FLEE (#5, 5-1) FLEE finished gamely too late in a pace-dominated raceafter taking some money in her career debut; tried a tougher spot to no avail off the claim 18 days later; back quickly again, this time dropping back down in class. -Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:20 ET     Track: Gulfstream (7th Race)                Horse: BRONZE BULLET (#8, 9-2) Stable mates BRONZE BULLET and CABOURG both making turf debuts in main event with both seemingly working very well over the surface for the occasion. Former disqualified out of apparent stakes win in his last, the horse he dead heated with in Pulpit, Glorious Bay, having returned to run 79 Beyers in two subsequent turf stakes tries. That kind of number would be good enough to beat these. -Mike Welsch | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:37 ET     Track: Tampa Bay Downs (7th Race)                Horse: DIXI SO FAST (#6, 20-1) DIXI SO FAST has room to improve given a better race flow than she got in three of her last four races, when she was off the lead in paceless races that favored speeds; worth a shot at a price, as her light Beyers are likely a product of those unfavorable pace scenarios. -Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:42 ET     Track: Aqueduct (7th Race)   Horse: INSTANT SUCCESS (#7, 10-1) INSTANT SUCCESS steadily improved out of a chase/fade debut and wired a field with a competitive figure when breaking his maiden last October, before failing to land a blow in a stakes race; caught another sloppy track last time and was a non-factor after failing to make the lead; needs this class drop. -Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:45 ET     Track: Fair Grounds (5th Race)            Horse: YORKTOWN PANTHER (#5, 9-2) YORKTOWN PANTHER, a dirt sprinter, exits a turf route, and the horses who trounced him two and three starts back in a dirt sprints are much better than this competition. While the second straight class drop doesn't bode well, its too soon to say he can't get back to his better dirt races, and one of those would suffice. Trainer R Degeyter has been posting some massive numbers in a variety of categories, among them first off the claim: 10-25 over the last two years. -Marcus Hersh | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:08 ET     Track: Tampa Bay Downs (8th Race)                Horse: SEA SHANTY (#5, 9-2) SEA SHANTY adds blinkers and figures to be forwardly placed from the start, a decided edge if the pace scenario develops as expected in this relatively paceless nightcap; also stands to improve in her third start off the layoff. -Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:15 ET     Track: Fair Grounds (6th Race)            Horse: PAY HEED (#5, 8-1) PAY HEED is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh). | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:21 ET     Track: Gulfstream (9th Race)                Horse: WAITTILMIDNITEHOUR (#4, 6-1) WAITTILMIDNITEHOUR back on Tapeta for first time since the 2025 winter session and on a surface over which she turned in career best effort here a year ago. Looking good training on the Tapeta since her return while re-uniting with favorite rider today. -Mike Welsch | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:43 ET     Track: Aqueduct (9th Race)   Horse: MAIZEY BLUE (#3, 10-1) MAIZEY BLUE went off favored against three of these same rivals when debuting in a similar spot 20 days ago; she raced very greenly in that spot after getting off to a slow start, and failed to seriously threaten at any point; might have more to offer with that experience behind her; Lasix on. -Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:45 ET     Track: Fair Grounds (7th Race)            Horse: MOR CHEESE PLEASE (#3, 8-1) MOR CHEESE PLEASE's, two starts - a turf sprint in which he broke poorly, a turf route where he led and faded. Both came at the MSW level, and who knows how the horse performs on dirt. Appears they've tried to sharpen him up for this with a couple 3f drills. -Marcus Hersh | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 5:10 ET     Track: Turf Paradise (5th Race)            Horse: ODE TO MY BRO BOB (#7, 8-1) ODE TO MY BRO BOB has some speed and draws outside. This is the easiest field that this guy has faced to date. Lone distance try came just before the break and this guy never got a breather. Works are plentiful and perhaps this guy is more mature now. -Scott Ehlers | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 5:15 ET     Track: Fair Grounds (8th Race)            Horse: DRILLING FOR GOLD (#10, 8-1) Contribution probably is favored here but DRILLING FOR GOLD at several times the price would be the more appealing play having finished one length behind CONTRIBUTION in their common Dec. 27 FG turf MSW. DFG had a far, far tougher trip than Contribution, drawn wide and stuck 4-5 wide with no cover on both turns. He still ran on and took an upper-stretch lead, holding bravely considering all the ground loss while racing close to a strong pace. -Marcus Hersh | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 6:10 ET     Track: Turf Paradise (7th Race)            Horse: ZISISIT (#7, 12-1) ZISISIT is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 7:25 ET     Track: Turfway (4th Race)        Horse: DEWY'S DENALI (#5, 15-1) DEWY'S DENALI did little in his debut but that was a tough spot to begin with. He was denied a clean trip in his second start. Class drop and first time here did the trick last out. Connections add Lasix and find a logical spot to face first time winners. What if this guy just likes it here? Team Danner are 20% with their repeating winners. -Scott Ehlers | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 7:55 ET     Track: Turfway (5th Race)        Horse: BREAKING HEARTS (#1, 8-1) BREAKING HEARTS learned a lot in her debut and will be better in her second start. One of four sibs is a multiple winner of 164K. Local works are encouraging and we like this rail draw. Team DeVaux are 20% off this type of layoff. -Scott Ehlers | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 9:55 ET     Track: Turfway (9th Race)        Horse: TAUNTING (#4, 10-1) TAUNTING ran just fine before the layoff and that was his first start here. Works are outstanding. What if this short layoff and second time with new barn both help? Tactical speed means a good trip and this 4YO draws fine. -Scott Ehlers | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 10:25 ET Track: Turfway (10th Race)     Horse: GLOBAL SENSATION (#9, 6-1) GLOBAL SENSATION is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get Past Performances for this race Looking for more action?
