There isn’t much to hang your hat on in this $7.5K maiden claimer, and she could seize command from the start and never look back. 8:00 DMR 7th CARMEN MIRANDA (#5, 7-2) can upset this Cal-bred 2yof stake. She won her debut despite racing somewhat greenly, the filly she beat (Zuboshi) returned to win by more than six lengths. ‘MIRANDA worked well since raced including a fast half-mile on the DMR track last weekend. When last seen on this dirt, three back, this horse won easily as the chalk and missed a Beyer top by a single point.
