Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:10 SAR 1st ALTERINA (#6, 9-2) debuted on turf, where she was the lone firster in the field, and she appeared to be getting an education in that spot while racing on without urgency after being taken back to last at the start; has plenty of dirt in her pedigree and lands in the right kind of spot. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:44 SAR 2nd SCORE THE ROCK (#2, 8-1) is by the underrated and versatile sire Kantharos (14% with juvenile first-time starters, 15% with turf sprinters), and the first foal from Heavenly Score, who was a multiple winner sprinting on both turf and dirt; appears to have missed some time training but this colt has an interesting pedigree and Msker is capable with first-time starters. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:00 SAR 6th FLUID SITUATION (#4, 10-1) just finished evenly behind a couple of these same rivals when finally clear in that last one, though he spent much of that race jammed over behind the front-running winner on a rated pace; showed that he can kick harder than that when winning each of his first two starts sprinting on turf and should have a better setup this time. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:21 WO 2nd FOREST VIXEN (#5, 6-1) has done the bulk of her best running around the tight turns of the inner turf, including a third at a notch lower two weeks ago. She could sit a lovely trip near all the speed draw inside before making a bid into contention. -Ron Gierkink | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:22 WO 4th WICKED MIAH (#4, 6-1) missed the break and then awaited room on the turn before finishing on the fringes when bumped up to this starter/optional-claiming class on the turf Aug. 10. Note that she blew away $7.5K conditioned claimers with a 64 Beyer in her last Tapeta start June 29. -Ron Gierkink | Bet this race with DRF Bets 8:05 CBY 5th FROSTED TEMPTATION (#6, 4-1) did beat half the field home in his debut even though it was slated for the turf. He wanted the grass in his second start but ditto. He ran OK in his most recent all while hooked. We think Wade is a good fit and he is 19% for this barn. This colt draws more outside today and tries this dirt for the first time but with a local work on his resume. -Scott Ehlers | Bet this race with DRF Bets 8:19 WO 8th WANT TO GO DANCING (#7, 6-1) was a front-running third behind a next-out allowance winner at Fort Erie the only time she competed on the grass in her July 20 season debut in a five-furlong inner turf dash at this level. -Ron Gierkink | Bet this race with DRF Bets 8:35 DMR 8th Second-time starter BOLTAGE (#9, 4-1) is likely to improve stretching out to a two turns on turf after a sixth-place debut sprint in which he went one-paced. Two turns should be fine for the Bolt d'Oro colt produced by a Smart Strike mare. -Brad Free | Bet this race with DRF Bets 9:35 CBY 8th BRAHMS IS WHO (#2, 5-1) has hit the exacta in seven of seventeen local starts. That mile try three back was better. Recent sprint tries are solid. The bottom line is that this mare should like the added ground, draws fine, and is reunited with Lopez who has a flat bet profit for this barn. -Scott Ehlers | Bet this race with DRF Bets 10:27 RP 6th LAPIS LAZULI (#6, 9-2) is back on dirt after a turf sprint start last out that served as his first race since February. The popular claim has reason to move forward in his second race back. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets 11:51 RP 9th DEAN'S LIST (#6, 4-1) has lined up against some notable rivals in recent times. Earlier in his career, he was Grade 3-placed. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets 12:19 RP 10th JACKMAN'S RIDE (#1, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mary Rampellini). | Bet this race with DRF Bets
