?q=100)
Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
4:34 SAR 7th BOLIVIE (#6, 10-1) ran in the slow-paced Bourbonette Oaks on synthetic in her stateside debut; switched to turf last time and ran into some stretch traffic, before altering inside and getting up for third; might be able to find the necessary improvement with the right trip this time. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:50 WO 1st ROYAL QUALITY (#3, 8-1) pressed the pace en route to running second in his improved second start off the sidelines three weeks ago. This is his first grass outing and the expensive son of 13% turf sire Quality Road is a half-brother to a turf winner. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:44 SAR 9th SUERTE (#4, 10-1) was competitive on dirt at the start, but he looked comfortable while denying the favorite all through the stretch en route to winning his turf debut off a tracking trip in April; was purchased for $80k last month and he gets a big trainer change to Maker. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:52 WO 3rd LEADING FORCE (#3, 9-2) showed signs of life two back when fourth in a difficult $15K inner turf tilt around two turns. She got hung out five-wide on the first turn before coming up empty in her latest, and is halving in price to the bottom here while moving to the Tapeta. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:07 CBY 1st MY CALANTE (#4, 5-1) took 12 starts to break his maiden but it was only his fifth start on the grass. We say he got a taste of winning and liked it as he ran a Beyer top in his first race versus winners. He gets good race flow today and figures a good price on top of that. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:30 DMR 4th DONNIE THE CHIRO (#8, 6-1) is better than his eighth-place debut suggests; he can win this MSW for Cal-bred 2yos if he handles turf. He was well-bet first out (3.40-1 second favorite), but did not break well, raced wide and merely ran around the track. Second-start maiden 2yos trained by Peter Miller often improve. Miller is 23-for-81 (28 percent) with second-start maiden juveniles the past five years. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
7:00 DMR 5th Northern California shipper DOS VICIOS (#2, 5-1) arrives at Del Mar in good form, two wins and a last-out third while earning a career-high figure. The race he exits was decent; the fourth- and second-place finishers returned to run one-two in a $50k claiming race. 'VICIOS fits for this $25k claim tag against the local contenders. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
7:07 CBY 3rd MIDNIGHT LANE (#3, 4-1) tried the turf and routing both for the first time in her most recent and ran evenly. She should improve 2nd time on the turf and around two turns. The blinkers go ON but that is only a 9% move for the leading barn. We like that Roman stays put. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:00 DMR 7th Lightly raced STAY AND SCAM (#3, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Brad Free). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:37 CBY 6th BACK TO SELLING (#6, 5-1) showed speed in his last two turf starts but can easily stalk as those turf tries before the layoff clearly state. This gelding has hit the board on this sod in all five of his starts. He adds a half furlong and that is for the best. The leading barn calls the shots but we don't see this jockey all that often for them. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
