Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:00 GP 1st MAURO’S TEAM (#3, 4-1) paired up career best Beyers while finishing behind pair of next out maiden winners for $50K and $40K(Aqueduct). Need only step forward to earn his own diploma in opener. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  1:33 GP 2nd MARKISTAN (#5, 2-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Get PPs for this race 2:12 KEE 3rd Active program for the Kobiskie card, with ALGEBRAIC (#6, 4-1) perhaps the shortestprice among their starters on this Thursday program. Appeared to have no love for the Turfway Tapeta but the last-start comeback run should provide a useful platform for the jump back into dirt racing. Won last two on dirt, including a KEE score, with the clear question whether he can see out the two-turn mile. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race 2:20 AQU 3rd BINKSTER (#5, 6-1) went 0-6 last year while more than holding his own a few times vs. some tough competition; at his best when he can be part of the pace and he looks like the best speed in this matchup as he returns from the layoff. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 2:53 AQU 4th LILLY SIMONE (#9, 12-1) made three turf starts late last year and lacked a strong finish in those races, though she was close to a fast pace going a mile in her debut; face a good field when cut back for her second start, and she did race in some traffic when last seen, though she didn’t fire late; returns from the layoff with lasix on and she shows six breezes in March for a trainer who regularly points to the Aqueduct turf in the spring. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  3:02 LRL 5th JEEZUM JIM (#3, 10-1) was claimed out of a quality conditioned seller at Penn National as the winner returned to score for $16,000 with a 92 Beyer while the runner-up came back to win for $8,000 with an 80. Stalked off the rail, angled wide on the turn and never threatened the top three. Thirteen-time winner is a proven commodity over the surface and trainer Hugh McMahon is 4 for the last 10 (40%, $2.63 ROI) off the claim. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  3:18 KEE 5th ONE NATION’s (#1, 6-1) most recent one-turn, fast-track dirt race produced a Churchill MSW win with an 80 Beyer Speed Figure, a number he had run in the past. Actually handled the slop well enough last fall at CD, and this track could come up wet, and guess the longtime McGaughey assistant Medina has him ready for something decent off the training-center drills. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race 3:27 LRL 6th Grade 2 winner SHOTSKI (#4, 6-1) might be racing himself back into shape as he makes his third start following a 321-day layoff. Shook loose on Feb. 25, took some pressure from longshot Closer Look (faltered to finish last) on the backstretch and into the second turn, and tired in the stretch in a race that went to the two closers. Trainer Jeremiah O’Dwyer is 7 for the last 16 (44%, $2.70 ROI) with older dirt horses (3-yearolds and upward) removing blinkers. Should gain a forward position. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race 3:33 OP 4th UNCLE GREGORY (#4, 15-1) returned to both two turns and dirt after the synthetictrack sprint at Turfway and equaled his best career Beyer Speed Figure. UNCLE GREGORY also gets in lighter than some of these under apprentice Morales. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race  3:46 GP 6th Switch in barns and perhaps more so the addition of Lasix woke AUDREY (#3, 6-1) up on graduation day and perhaps eligible to improve off the effort. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  4:01 AQU 6th HONOR UP (#1, 8-1) caught a sloppy track in his return from the long layoff last time, where he showed speed and tired going seven furlongs; won four of his first five starts after being switched to this trainer, including a pair of NY-bred stakes, and then finished 3rd in the Grade 1 Carter, before struggling to put races together last year; threat to jump up second off the bench in a race that projects to set up well for him. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  4:24 KEE 7th WARRIOR IN CHIEF (#4, 4-1) won nicely enough (74 Beyer - not bad for a fall 2yo router; runner-up Dolder Grand hasn’t progressed much at 3 but is all right) in his twoturn debut last fall, and after a winter break ran into subsequent Florida Derby winner Known Agenda last out, fading after disputing a solid pace. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race  5:07 AQU 8th LADY THORNHILL (#1, 20-1) may have been prepping in that sloppy track debut, where she was never close in a fast-paced race; bred more for this surface and drops right away on the switch. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  5:30 KEE 9th NILSBY (#6, 20-1) gets a career restart after two poor showings as a 2yo. First of those on turf sans blinkers, second on mud sans Lasix, & now he’s first Lasix, second blinkers, aggressively spotted in a $40K maiden-claimer. As far as the mud goes, the 4/1 slow work followed by another drill 4/4 hints he can’t handle it at all, making the lone dirt race a potential toss. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race  5:40 OP 8th W W FITZY (#3, 9-2) is appealing as a seven-time winner facing some less-experienced rivals. She also appears to have more natural speed than most of these, which could give her a tactical advantage. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
