1:00 GP 1st CAT LADY (#4, 7-2) back in familiar hands off the claim, might get loose and not look back with these. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
1:31 BEL 2nd AASR (#3, 5-1) an unknown on this surface, but he has run well at times on the main track and most recently endured a tough trip after breaking slowly on that surface at Oaklawn; has a versatile pedigree top and bottom being by Into Mischief and from a dam who was a Grade 1 performer on all three surfaces in her career (lone turf run was a 3rd place finish in the Grade 1 Just a Game). -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:02 BEL 3rd BECCA’S WISH (#4, 6-1) hasn’t shown all that much in three main track starts to date, and the drop in class didn’t seem to help much last time, as she could only chase the pace to no avail; switches surfaces with a versatile pedigree and has some speed to put into play in a race that may not be run at a fast early pace. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:31 OP 2nd KALLINIKI (#1, 9-2) was second for this price last time and owns what ranks as one of this field’s best last-race Beyer Figures. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:18 KEE 5th When these connections claimed TRES EQUIS (#4, 15-1) and immediately moved him from sprints to routes last year, they got two strong runs out of him, performances good enough to win this race. He ran all right in his first Turfway start but then appeared to turn against the all-weather surface. Back on dirt with a little freshening, maybe he can bounce back and post an upset. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:46 GP 6th CRAFTY LASS (#8, 9-2) did not fare badly in only previous grass effort and hasn’t missed a beat in the a.m. of late prepping for return. Looks like good fit for this tag. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:58 PIM 7th Although INSTINCTIVE (#5, 6-1) chased sharp odds-on favorite Sammie Sunshine (returned to beat starter allowance foes by 6 1/4 lengths with a 71 Beyer) in vain, the consistent mare finished clear of the rest in a solid performance. Bullet workout over the surface 11 days ago allays fears of a bounce and the tactical lass can get close to the pace. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:18 GP 7th RASPBERRY BALLET (#7, 4-1) obviously taking a step up in company off the maiden win trying allowance and optional claiming foes but seems to have finally put it together since joining current barn, perhaps good enough to take another in present form. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:57 KEE 8th Paceless grass feature and if WINTER SUNSET (#8, 12-1) is asked to run out of the gate, it could be she who seizes the early lead and dictates the tempo. Poor run in her long-layoff comeback last year but the last start at Fair Ground, which came with ample trouble, was much better. Should be a very fair price. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:04 PIM 9th RETURN THE RING (#5, 4-1) chased a fast pace inside, eased out into the stretch and finished with mild interest to grab a minor award in recent entry-level allowance at Aqueduct (the last-place finisher from that race returned to finish second in a “twolife” allowance at Keeneland with a 78 Beyer). Makes third start of the form cycle for underrated New York-based barn and has the speed to obtain good early position. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:09 OP 7th AUCTION FEVER (#2, 4-1) is a consistent performer who has run her race in each of her starts at the meet. She seems due to land in the winner’s circle soon. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:37 PIM 10th FEATURE ACT (#1, 5-1) likely found the seven panels a bit too sharp for him, but he rallied for a piece in the faster division of $5,000 “beaten” claimers (the runner-up returned to finish second in a starter allowance with a 72 Beyer). Saved ground on the turn, eased out turning for home and was running on at the finish. Steps up to face open foes, but like him stretching back out to a route of ground. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:40 OP 8th HOLLIS (#2, 8-1) returns to dirt and the last time he was seen on the main track he was second in what has been the meet’s fastest six furlong race. He shortens up a tad in distance here, and Ortiz likes five and a half furlongs for the horse and said it’s one of the reasons the turf sprint stakes winner ran in the Grade 2 Shakertown. This one will be back on Lasix after racing without the diuretic last out due to stakes protocols at Kee. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:10 OP 9th RUN FEARLESS (#9, 6-1) was just edged at a similar distance and owns what ranks as one of this field’s best last-race Beyer Speed Figures. Fires trained both this one’s sire - who won the Arkansas Derby - and dam, a local stakes winner who earned $198K. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
7:35 LS 1st Going for a small upset in the first race of the meet. BOERNE (#7, 7-2) flopped as the heavy chalk in the Yellow Rose but she came back with a sharp work and could be ready for a peak performance in her third start for Diodoro; She gets off the rail and will be a better price this time. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:03 LS 2nd LOOKIN HIGH (#5, 4-1) was facing much tougher in his last two at the Fair Ground, but he sure looked good winning a $15K conditioned claimer three back. He could get back on track with the drop. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
9:55 LS 6th GOOD AMERICAN (#3, 12-1) might be worth a stab at what should be a decent price. He took a lot of action in his debut but then ran off just prior to loading, broke a couple of steps slow leaving from the rail and steadied slightly after moving into contention. No panicky drop and it is encouraging to see Elliot keep the faith. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
