1:46 LRL 3rd STORMIN' COUGAR (#4, 5-1), listed as a vet scratch here on March 27, prompted the solid pace set by 10 to 1 shot Zealacious (finished fourth) in first start back from Florida, made the front in upper stretch, drifted in slightly and got away late. 2:11 GP 3rd SIR TERRE (#6, 4-1) continues to improve from Beyer standpoint with every start and with plenty of two turn experience which could prove big edge in this spot. 2:50 LRL 5th First turf race of the year has VICTORS VALIANT (#6, 20-1) switching surfaces with plenty of pedigree. The sire wins 16% with turf routers (compared to 11% industry average) and the dam was a Group 3-placed turf router in France. This gelding is a full brother to Tracy Flick, who finished first in her career debut on turf, but was disqualified and placed third. 3:28 AQU 5th FONTANAFREDDA (#5, 6-1) made two starts sprinting on turf as a 2yo and ran well both times while coming up short; steadied from the gate to wind up last early in her debut, before finishing gamely for second behind a repeat winner, and she rallied gamely after losing position and coming wide in her next start; improve again while breaking her maiden on dirt before the layoff; starts back with Lasix on. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

3:55 LRL 7th CLOSERTOTHEHEART (#2, 6-1) has raced herself into shape over the winter on dirt, and now switches to preferred surface. Graduated with Ruiz aboard last fall, then didn't have the cleanest trip in first start against winners. 4:51 GP 8th QUEEN MACHA (#8, 9-2) has run well in all previous appearance on Tapeta and should be legged up for big try turning back to a sprint off steady diet of longer races. 5:12 AQU 8th BUY LAND AND SEE (#8, 8-1) appeared to really need her career debut sprinting, then won his next three starts routing, including the Awad at Belmont; lone turf route since came in the paceless Hill Prince over yielding ground and he ran well in that spot with little chance; back to his preferred surface. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

6:33 TUP 5th LUCKY CHAMP (#6, 8-1) turns around quickly and that alone is fine with us. This gelding tried routing for the first time in his most recent and never got a breather but still ran OK all things considered. We like that connections want this distance right back. 7:05 TUP 6th WISHFUL WON (#8, 9-2) ran OK off the claim but we highly doubt that the turf is her best surface (5-0-0-1 on the weeds). Second time this barn is a plus as is the class dip.
