Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:29 GP 2nd BRACCIO DI FERRO (#7, 4-1) is by a 14% debut sire (all sire stats are for 2YO’s only). His dam went 3-0-0-0. Lone sib is full brother Tivano and he is 4-2-0-2 and earned 30K. Works are perfect. -Scott Ehlers 12:58 GP 3rd MONY (#10, 20-1) has some upside so that is first and foremost. He cost 385K so remember that. He improved his Beyer in every start until two back when he had a troubled trip. A bit wide in his most recent and that field was tough hence his odds of 14-1. This colt gets better race flow today. -Scott Ehlers 2:12 MTH 4th INDIAN GULCH (#1, 5-1) has been off the pace in recent tries but that was due in large part to race flows, as three of his last four races were races where the closers held the edge (note bold “C” symbols in DRF pp’s), and he can be expected to be involved from the start today from his inside post; the draw could give him the edge on PURIMETER, the other primary pacesetter in this short field. -Kenny Peck :: Looking for Del Mar and Saratoga plays? Click here for DRF's Betting Strategies 2:38 WO 4th LUCKY GIRASOL (#7, 8-1) won her second race in a row following a long layoff in an optional starter Aug. 8. She seems like a good fit in the $20K claimer on the same main turf, over which she just found the mark. -Ron Gierkink 2:40 MTH 5th DIAMOND PLAY (#8, 5-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck) 3:40 MTH 7th RITHM BOX (#4, 8-1) was off the board under similar conditions last time out but she did show some interest in the lane while not being pushed once clearly beaten; she will need to make up a few lengths to beat MY SISTER’S KEEPER but she could well still be on the improve in only her fourth start of the year, and her Beyers have steadily risen. -Kenny Peck 3:50 WO 6th CLASSY MISTRESS (#2, 10-1) is moving out to a distance that she’s bred to handle following a pair of non-efforts in two OS/$40K sprints on the grass. -Ron Gierkink :: Get the DRF GamePlan Playbook each day with a DRF+ Pro subscription. Purchase here. 4:23 WO 7th NO EXIT (#2, 10-1) showed nothing at first asking in a maiden special on the Tapeta, but the son of Point of Entry could wake up in this OS/$40K event on the grass, on which his dam was a stakes winner. -Ron Gierkink 4:48 GP 10th ART G IS BACK (#3, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). B 5:10 MTH 10th PUT POSITION (#2, 3-1) was hurt some by a slow start in that last one, as that slow break cost her position and she never recovered, but she moves inside for this and she figures to be prominent from the start; Beyers steady if unspectacular. -Kenny Peck 5:21 GP 11th ROYAL MEGHAN (#10, 15-1) has some speed as she adds two full furlongs today. We love today’s attack post. This barn is 16% turf to dirt. This filly draws tons better after being buried on the rail in her most recent where she broke 9th of 12. -Scott Ehlers 5:56 WO 10th LAST AMERICAN EXIT (#6, 6-1) was a gutsy maiden breaker over a talented stablemate, who came right back to graduate, in his penultimate start. He failed to reach contention after trailing through the turn most recently in the six-furlong Greenwood Stakes on the grass. -Ron Gierkink
