Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:58 GP 3rd JOSEFA (#11, 8-1), on the AE list, gets the nod if she goes. She looked super blasting maidens here July 10 and for her first run vs. winners ran for twice this tag here Sept. 3. She finished only 6th that day so they may have been biting off a bit too much. She has her value cut in half for this and that could be key. It’s also nice to see Jaramillo take the call. -Michael Hammersly 1:00 WO 1st ROYAL WEDDING (#2, 4-1) was too far off a slow pace last time when a belated fourth in the restricted Eternal Search Stakes. She was previously second at this level on the inner turf, after clearing the first allowance condition on the main course. -Ron Gierkink :: Bet the races online with DRF Bets. New members get $250 bonus 1:16 MTH 2nd BIG CITY RALPH (#7, 3-1) was no threat in his only sprint try to date but he was against a speed-friendly race flow there, and was unable to make up enough ground late; he was also on the wrong side of the flow in his latest, a mile, but given an honest pace he may be able to run them all down late for trainer Jose Delgado, who wins at 30% with horses turning back from routes to sprints. -Kenny Peck 1:30 WO 2nd ROSA’S SOUL (#5, 8-1) broke outward before saving ground en route to a seventh-place finish when bet down to 5-1 at first asking Aug. 16, from which the runner-up exited to land another maiden special. She should be more effective vs. these OS/$40K maidens. -Ron Gierkink 1:30 GP 4th BOMOSEEN (#7, 6-1) hinted at ability last fall at DEL and MTH. HE was then pulled up after taking a bad step here last Dec. 14 vs. straight maiden, then stalked before giving way badly (was eased) for $32K here last Feb. 7. Ramirez saw fit to claim him, but the gelding hasn’t been seen since, and let’s face it, you don’t often claim a horse merely for the sake of housing it. Ramirez has superb off-the-claim numbers and is having a super meet, and while the huge drop for his return is scary it may also indicate that if this guy is to show something and graduate it’s today with the big drop. -Michael Hammersly :: Get the DRF GamePlan Playbook each day with a DRF+ Pro subscription. She shouldn’t be out of her league here for $25K off the claim. -Ron Gierkink 4:41 MTH 10th IDLE TIME (#5, 10-1) moves up in class for his first start off the claim for trainer Mike Dini but he may be good enough to handle this rise, as that win last time is better than the Beyer may indicate, with jockey Joe Bravo gearing this gelding down in the late stages; he had all kinds of trouble in his first start over this course, two back, and though his Beyers are light compared with the top contenders he may be sitting on a breakthrough race. -Kenny Peck :: To stay up to date, follow DRF on: Facebook | Instagram | Twitter 5:33 MTH 12th BELGRANO (#9, 6-1) is wide but he has good speed, and this is not a race that’s loaded with pace; he could well be the main pacesetter in this line-up, and with the aggressive Jose Ferrer aboard he figures to be looking to clear this field back down the fractions. -Kenny Peck 5:46 WO 10th LA CHAUFFEUR (#2, 8-1) landed on the edges after an inside/stalking trip when coming off a break in a seven-furlong N1X on the Tapeta Aug. 15. She should be more effective against these OS/$40K maidens. -Ron Gierkink 6:18 WO 11th FINAL ECLIPSE (#14, 8-1) closed for third after lacking room at the top of the stretch last time on the Tapeta, when he was disqualified to ninth. The son of Silent Name is bred for the grass on both sides of his quality pedigree. -Ron Gierkink
